At least 32 ISWAP fighters have been killed in a recent military operation following internal clashes within the group’s factions.

The operation, which took place in a strategic region of the Lake Chad Basin, involved a series of targeted airstrikes that destroyed critical weapons and equipment, significantly weakening the insurgents’ operational capabilities.

Intelligence sources revealed that the airstrikes hit a location where ISWAP fighters had regrouped after engaging with a rival faction.

The operation was strategically timed to dismantle their staging area and prevent any potential future attacks.

Operation Hadin Kai, the Nigerian military’s ongoing counter-insurgency effort, has intensified its offensives against ISWAP and Boko Haram, focusing on key hideouts and logistical hubs across the Northeast.
