Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, is once again at the center of a media storm due to his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly.

The singer’s family has raised concerns over his whereabouts, prompting the filing of a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS), claiming that he had gone missing.

In a now-viral video, 2Baba and Natasha are seen casually browsing hair products together, which comes just days after reports surfaced about his family’s concerns. His mother, Rose Idibia, made a public appeal, urging the lawmaker to distance herself from her son, especially since his divorce from wife Annie Idibia has not been finalized.

“My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him,” Rose Idibia said. She further urged Natasha to “remove the beads you put on his hand and on his neck.”

The situation escalated with another viral video, where 2Baba was seen proposing to Natasha, presenting her with a ring, and embracing her warmly, signaling a romantic commitment.

Natasha, who represents the Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), is the granddaughter of billionaire businessman Gabriel Igbinedion. She was elected in April 2023, adding a political layer to the ongoing drama.
