After an illustrious two-decade career in radio, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, better known as Do2dtun, has announced his exit from the airwaves.
The popular On-Air Personality made the announcement on his Instagram, sharing a heartfelt message with his followers.
“20 years on radio, it is time to say goodbye. It is time to leave what I loved and would always love,” Do2dtun wrote, reflecting on his impressive career.
In an emotional post shared by Cool FM on Friday, Do2dtun looked back on his journey, recalling how he started as an intern at the radio station in 2004.
He was fortunate to learn under the guidance of some of the industry’s biggest names, including Daddy Freeze, the late Dan Foster, and Olisa Adibua.
“This must be one of the hardest decisions I have made. I’m fulfilled in my heart that I built a legacy,” he said. “Oh, my sweet home @coolfmlagos accepted me on Nov 1st, 2004, as an intern—dusty, unprepared, and knowing nothing about radio.”
Do2dtun’s departure marks the end of an era for Cool FM, where he became a beloved voice, and his exit has left fans and colleagues alike reminiscing on the impact he has had on the Nigerian radio industry.
