Former Big Brother Naija housemate Chomzy has come under fire online after sharing a video from her orientation camp under the National Youth Service Corps.
In the clip posted to her social media pages, the reality TV star, born Esther Chioma Ndubueze, appeared in the official NYSC white outfit but was seen seated inside a luxury vehicle while other corps members stood on the parade ground taking part in drills.
She captioned one of the posts, “better late than never,” and in another wrote, “parade or not… NYSC things,” while standing behind fellow corps members.
The posts quickly attracted attention and sparked criticism from many Nigerians on social media who questioned her decision to remain in the car while others participated in the parade under the sun.
Some commenters described the action as disrespectful and said it portrayed a sense of privilege in a programme designed to promote unity, discipline, and equal participation among graduates. Others argued that sharing the video publicly sent the wrong message and could cast the scheme in a negative light.
A number of reactions also suggested that if she was unwilling to fully participate in camp activities, she could have opted out of the programme rather than appearing to bypass parts of it.
The development has since triggered wider conversations online about conduct, privilege, and expectations during the NYSC orientation exercise.
As of the time of filing this report, NYSC officials had not released any statement regarding the incident.
