Media personality Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has opened up about her privileged upbringing and her realization of the disparities many people face.

As the daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, DJ Cuppy grew up in a financially secure environment, but she admitted that she didn’t fully comprehend the extent of her privilege until recently.

Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) handle, DJ Cuppy shared her newfound perspective: “Growing up, I didn’t fully realise just how privileged I was. I never had to worry about anything,” she wrote.

Reflecting on her life, she expressed deep gratitude for her upbringing, acknowledging that what she once viewed as ordinary was, in fact, a blessing that many could only dream of.

“I see it now,” she continued, “What felt normal to me is something someone else is praying for. Gratitude changes everything.”
