Veteran politician and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, Bode George, has affirmed that the party remains united despite ongoing internal disagreements.
George made the comments during an interview on Politics Today, a programme aired on Channels Television, addressing concerns surrounding the party’s National Convention, initially scheduled for November 15–16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The Federal High Court in Abuja, under Justice Peter Odo Lifu, had issued a final order barring the PDP from holding the convention following legal challenges.
Responding to the court ruling, George described the PDP as a “sturdy political party” in Nigeria, saying that disagreements are normal in any organization, but the strength of its leadership is measured by their ability to handle such disputes.
“I want to reassure everyone that the PDP is solid and undivided,” George emphasized, stressing that the party remains resilient despite the recent controversy.
