Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, has become the quickest player in the history of the competition to score 100 goals.

Haaland achieved this feat when he opened the scoring in their 5-4 victory over Fulham on Tuesday night.

It took the Norway international only 111 league appearances to hit the century mark.

The 25-year-old has now smashed the previous record set by former Newcastle captain, Alan Shearer.

It took Shearer 124 league matches to reach 100 goals.

Before finding the back of the net against Fulham, Haaland had failed to score in his previous three games against Newcastle, Bayer Leverkusen and Leeds.

Of Haaland’s 100 goals, 71 came with his left foot and 17 with his head.
