The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced another reduction in the ex-depot prices of petrol and diesel, citing efforts to make fuel more affordable for consumers and businesses.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the refinery said the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, was reduced from N1,275 per litre to N1,250 per litre. The ex-depot price of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly known as diesel, was also cut from N1,800 per litre to N1,700 per litre.
The company said the latest adjustment is aimed at easing costs for businesses and households while supporting economic activities across the country.
According to the refinery, the price review is part of its strategy to improve supply efficiency, strengthen local refining and ensure a more reliable supply of petroleum products to the domestic market.
The reduction comes amid continued volatility in the global energy market following tensions in the Middle East, which have disrupted fuel supply routes and contributed to higher fuel prices in many countries, including Nigeria.
Dangote Refinery said it remains committed to expanding supply and providing relief to consumers through increased domestic refining capacity.
