President Bola Tinubu has secured victory in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary conducted in Kabo Ward, Kabo Local Government Area of Kano State.

The primary election was held on Saturday at the APC secretariat in the ward, which is the political base of Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin.
According to a statement released by Barau’s media aide, Ismail Mudashir, the Deputy Senate President described the turnout of party members as encouraging ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Barau said the large participation by APC members showed strong support for Tinubu’s re-election bid and expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious during the presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled for January 16, 2027.

The returning officer for the exercise, Umar Mohammadu Rabiu, announced that Tinubu defeated his only opponent, Osifo Osayamen Stanley, who failed to record any vote in the ward.

Rabiu also disclosed that only three of the 1,007 registered voters in the ward did not take part in the exercise.
He praised the peaceful atmosphere during the primary and commended party members for their orderly conduct throughout the process.

Speaking after the election, Barau thanked APC supporters in the area for what he described as their impressive turnout and commitment to the party.
The Chairman of Kabo Local Government Area, Lawal Najume, also lauded the conduct of the primary and expressed optimism about the APC’s chances in the 2027 elections.
