Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has described the African Democratic Congress as a credible opposition platform capable of confronting the ruling All Progressives Congress in upcoming elections.

Atiku disclosed this after receiving members of the Adamawa State leadership of the ADC at his residence in Abuja. He said the visit was meaningful and offered him an opportunity to advise the party’s state executives on the importance of unity and inclusive leadership.

According to him, the new leadership in Adamawa must work to mend internal rifts, promote fairness, and carry all party members along in order to strengthen the party’s structure at the grassroots.

He expressed optimism about the ADC’s growing relevance in Nigeria’s political space, noting that the party has the principles, organisation, and determination needed to present a serious challenge to the APC.

Atiku added that he remains confident the ADC can redefine opposition politics in Nigeria if its members remain united and focused on shared goals.
