Leaders of the National Assembly have sent goodwill messages to President Bola Tinubu as he marks his 74th birthday on Sunday, praising his leadership style and ongoing reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, described Tinubu as bold and forward-looking, saying his policy direction since assuming office has begun to reposition the country despite the sacrifices involved.

Akpabio pledged continued cooperation from the Senate, noting that the legislature would keep working with the executive to ensure lasting national impact.

Similarly, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, commended the President’s role in Nigeria’s democratic journey and his experience in public administration. In a statement issued through his media aide, Abbas said Tinubu’s network of progressive-minded Nigerians and his reform-driven agenda were already influencing governance, revenue management, infrastructure delivery and security coordination.

The Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, also praised the President’s impact, saying his administration had set the country on a path toward greater progress. He expressed optimism that the policies being implemented would continue to benefit citizens and future generations while wishing Tinubu good health and wisdom.

On his part, the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, applauded Tinubu’s reform efforts since May 2023, stating that the administration remained focused on long-term stability and growth. In his birthday message, Barau offered prayers for the President’s well-being and expressed confidence in his political prospects ahead of the 2027 general election.

He also reassured Nigerians that the National Assembly stands firmly behind the President’s programmes and policies aimed at addressing the country’s challenges.

Tinubu, who turned 74 on March 29, received tributes highlighting his leadership, resilience and commitment to national development from across the leadership of the federal legislature.
