Professor Nentawe Yilwatda has been re-elected as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, while Surajudeen Basiru returned as the party’s National Secretary. Their elections took place at the APC’s 4th Elective National Convention on Friday night at Eagle Square in Abuja.
The Convention Election Committee confirmed both leaders as part of several party officials elected through consensus.
The event, themed “Unity in Progress: Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda,” saw the attendance of President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.
The convention was organised by a committee chaired by former Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Anyim Pius Anyim.
Party leaders described the gathering as a step toward consolidating unity and strengthening the APC’s political agenda ahead of future elections.
More details on the convention and other elected officials are expected to follow.
