Osborne Umahi, son of Minister of Works and former Ebonyi State Governor Engr. David Umahi, has collected the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form for the Ohaozara Local Government Area chairmanship ahead of the August 2026 council elections.

Osborne, who manages his father’s business interests, was received at the APC State Secretariat in Abakaliki by party leaders, including state chairman Mr. Stanley Okoro-Emegha, alongside supporters and youth groups from Ohaozara.

Okoro-Emegha described Osborne as a capable young politician, expressing confidence in his ability to contribute to the development of the local government.

Osborne, in his remarks, thanked the people of Ohaozara for the trust and said he would focus on youth empowerment and sustaining infrastructure projects if elected.
The Ohaozara Local Government chairmanship election is scheduled for August 2026.
