Nigerian entertainer Uche Maduagwu has publicly apologized to singer Davido and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, for posting negative content about them on social media.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Maduagwu confessed that he was paid to troll the couple online. He revealed that he, along with four other Nigerian influencers, received N2.5 million to target Davido and his family.
“I was paid to ridicule your wife and your family. I’m not the only one, there are about five of us who were involved. I’m urging others who received money for this to come forward and return it. Davido hasn’t done anything wrong, and I want to sincerely apologize,” Maduagwu said in the video.
He also captioned the clip, expressing remorse: “God, I’m in tears. I just want @davido to forgive me. Every criticism you’ve seen online from us was paid for. Please help me beg him to forgive me.”
