Reality star and actress BamBam has shared the harrowing details of her life-threatening childbirth experience, shedding light on postpartum care and medical negligence during a recent episode of Me and My Girls on Fertitude.
BamBam revealed that during childbirth, her body began to fail in critical ways. “My kidney failed, my heart became weak, my liver, everything was just shutting down,” she confessed.
The gravity of the situation worsened when her daughter detached from the placenta, and a delayed hospital arrival could have resulted in a stillbirth.
“The doctors and nurses were attentive, and their intervention saved both our lives,” BamBam continued. “But I couldn’t stop thinking, what if I was just a second too late? What if the medical team hadn’t been so diligent?”
The traumatic ordeal left emotional scars, prompting BamBam to seek therapy to cope with lingering thoughts of what could have gone wrong.
“Every time I look at her, I just say ‘what if.’ That word haunted me for a while,” she added, expressing gratitude for her survival and her daughter’s health.
BamBam’s candid revelation has sparked conversations about the need for better awareness of maternal health, the importance of proper medical care, and the emotional toll childbirth can have on women.
