In a recent Instagram post, Nigerian singer Spyro made a bold declaration, stating that he will not marry until he has N500 million in his bank account.

Reflecting on his challenging upbringing, Spyro shared his drive to secure a stable future for both himself and his future family.

“My childhood wasn’t the easiest… I was never opportune to have toys as a kid. But one thing I told myself from a very tender age: My kids will never have to go through what I did,” Spyro said.

He stressed that, beyond financial success, raising children with strong moral values is essential. “It’s not enough to provide. It’s very germane to also train them with the fear of God, as that’s what separates a man from beast tendencies.”

Spyro also expressed concern over his generation’s focus on superficial goals. “A lot of us should be focused on ending the cycle of poverty… but unfortunately, my generation just dey gallivant about, indulging in frivolities.”
