Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late Nigerian music star Mohbad, has claimed to be the “most bullied widow” in the country.
She expressed her frustration on TVC’s Your View, revealing that her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, is pressuring her by demanding a DNA test for their son, Liam.
“I have nothing to hide. I don’t have an issue with my father-in-law asking me for a DNA test, but it’s the way he is going about it. Presently, I am the most bullied widow in Nigeria,” Omowunmi said.
She recounted that before her husband’s untimely death on September 12, 2023, she and her father-in-law were very close. Omowunmi also mentioned that Joseph Aloba had strongly influenced her and Mohbad to have a child, pressuring them with fasting and prayer.
The singer’s body was exhumed for an autopsy after his death, which sparked widespread controversy.
The results are still pending, and Joseph Aloba has stated that his son’s body will only be reburied once the autopsy and DNA test results are finalized.
