Former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, will come up against Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong in an intriguing Saudi Pro League clash today. Ighalo’s Mecca-based Al Wehda faces Ekong’s Al Kholood at the 8,000-capacity Al-Hazem Club Stadium.
Ighalo, who is set to make his 20th appearance of the season, will be aiming for his first goal in six games after a recent goal drought. “It’s been a challenging season,” Ighalo admitted. “But I’m determined to help my team get back on track.”
Meanwhile, Ekong’s Al Kholood will be looking to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Al-Orobah FC. The battle promises to be an intense one, with both teams fighting to avoid relegation.
Despite a tough campaign, Ighalo remains one of the Saudi Pro League’s most dangerous forwards, having scored 12 or more goals in the last four seasons.
