Doris Esiokhayamhe Ogah, a 26-year-old Nigerian lawyer and model representing the South-South region, has been crowned the winner of the 45th edition of the Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant.
The highly anticipated event took place on December 19 at the Royal Box in Victoria Island, Lagos, under the theme “Beyond Beauty: Reigning Together as Queens.”
Out of the 45 contestants who entered the competition, 20 semi-finalists were selected, with 10 making it to the finals.
The top ten finalists included Ann Eneanya, Abosede Sorinola, Oluwatofunmi Adekola, Praise Obafemi, Diane Paul, Simeon Obianujuwa, Faith Ogbele, Divine Nelson, Oluwabukumi Ogunsanya, and Ogah.
The competition reached its peak during a question-and-answer session, where the contestants were asked how they would use their platforms to address the challenges facing Nigerian youths. Following this, five contestants—Ann Eneanya, Divine Nelson, Diane Paul, Oluwabukumi Ogunsanya, and Ogah—advanced to the final stage.
After another round of questioning, the judges declared Ogah the winner. The outgoing Miss Nigeria, Shatu Garko, congratulated her successor and shared words of wisdom for her reign.
