Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has achieved a major milestone with his latest single, “Funds.”

The track, featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, has set a new record for the biggest first streaming week on Spotify Nigeria.

Previously, the record was held by Wizkid’s “Kese (Dance)” with 4.72 million streams. However, “Funds” surpassed this with an impressive 4.82 million streams in its debut week, breaking the record.

Music monitoring platform TheDebutHub shared the news on Twitter, stating:

“New record. Davido’s ‘Funds’ ft. ODUMODUBLVCK & Chike breaks the record for the biggest 1st streaming week on Spotify Nigeria.

‘— ‘Funds’ recorded 4.82M streams, surpassing ‘Kese (Dance)’ (4.72M).”

Davido responded to the achievement with a simple yet powerful message:

“We believe in God.”
