Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, has approved N2 billion for the purchase of luxury vehicles for himself, his deputy, and their wives.
According to a PREMIUM TIMES report, the approval was reportedly made during the last State Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Ishaku.
The source claimed that the proposal was approved without any objections, as it was argued that since the governor and his deputy have been in office since 2015, they deserve new cars as they prepare to step down.

The governor and his wife are expected to receive over N1.3 billion worth of exotic vehicles, while the deputy governor and his wife will get cars worth N750 million.
The Commissioner for Information, Lois Emmanuel, did not confirm or deny the approval when contacted, but was later seen at the commissioning of a housing project by the governor in Jalingo.
